Be more mindful
The key to slow travel is slowing down and being more mindful in order to have richer experiences. Slow travel I take time to explore each destination thoroughly and to experience the local culture.
Traveling more slowly allows me to form a stronger connection to the place I am visiting. With a “slow” itinerary, I do not feel rushed and I do not experience the stress of attempting to visit every place in my list. allows me to relax and reconnect with myself.
Don’t create expectations from home
Don’t create expectations of a place before going. It’s all about adopting a mindset that whatever happens is just part of the experience. This way I am living in the moment and accepting everything as it comes, so there are no bad experiences, there are only experiences. It helps me slow down and take in everything that’s around me. So, I can make the most of each moment of my vacation. This zen-like attitude is way more relaxing than making sure my itinerary is jam-packed with all of the necessary tourist hotspots. The slow part of slow travel allows for peace and ease.
Keep your travel itinerary short and simple
When slow travelling is important to plan less and keep your travel itinerary short and simple. I think it is more important to explore one small area well, than it is to see only a little bit of many areas.Trying to see or experience as many things as possible within a short period of time can be exhausting. Planning a trip can be really stressful. So, by having a short and simple itinerary, I am more relaxed and I experience more. I can always head back to that destination later to see what I missed! I may see less, but I get to experience more. I understand the value of quality over quantity and it helps me to prevent FOMO (fear of missing out).
Be more spontaneous
When you slow down your plans, you leave room for spontaneity. By not having a plan, you let the unexpected into your life so you can be spontaneous. When there are no plans, there is no rush and you can push beyond your comfort zone.
Now I do what I feel like doing instead of what I planned weeks ago. There are no strict plans to tie me down and I can say’ yes’ more often. If I w can wake up one morning and I want to go somewhere I just go. You have time to get spontaneous . Now I do what I feel like doing and I am not disappointed because I did not have time to visit all the places in my list.
Go out of your comfort zone and try new things
Stepping out of your comfort zones can be hard. But the truth is that those very same reasons are what makes travelling so memorable. Trying new things makes me grow.
